It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jason Rorie of Bethalto, Illinois, who passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jason Rorie to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid Jason farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Jason is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He is survived by: his parents, Dunbar Rorie and Susan Rorie (Dunnagan) of Bethalto; his children, Marissa Rorie of Rosewood Heights and Andrew Rorie of Phoenix; and his brothers, Michael (Nicole Rorie) and David Rorie of Wood River. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Pitchford Funeral Home (2555 Vaughn Rd, Wood River, IL 62095). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
