It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley J. Potter of Bloomington, Illinois, born in East Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on September 22, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Vernon Oliver and Goldie Ann Meredith Wood; her former life partner Lee Henry White; her husband William C. Potter I; and her siblings, Marvin Wood and Betty Tate.
She is survived by : her children, Michael White (Jacquelyn) of Bloomington, IL and Lynne White; her stepchildren, Cathy Pesetski (John), Becky Staab (Charles) and William C. Potter II; and her sister Verna L. Gordon. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 12 step great-grandchildren.
The service and visitation will be limited to 50 persons at a time and everyone will be required to wear a face mask.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Bloomington, IL or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
