He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert William and Lela Mae Smith Martin; his wife Iola May Birdsell; his son Russell Alan Martin; his grandson Andrew Joseph Morris; his brothers, Jim, Raymond, Johnny Bob and Hank Martin; and his sons-in-law, Tony Morris and Jerry Gorsage.

He is survived by : his children, Deborah Smith (John) of Beardstown, Rodney Martin of Meredosia and Brenda Danner of Astoria; and his brother Eddie Martin (Ruth) of Chandlerville. He is also survived by six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.

Due to the current health situation, face masks will be required, and to comply with social distancing guidelines, a limited number of people will be allowed in the funeral home at one time.
