She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Merkens and Helen "Dolly" Merkens; and her brother Bud Merkens. She is survived by: her husband Myron G. Foley; her siblings, Don Merkens and Beth Kirgin (Rich Merkens); and her sister-in-law Nancy Merkens. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (1133 Main St, Mt Vernon, IL 62864). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Cheryl 's honor to First United Methodist Church, Mount Vernon YMCA, or Cedarhurst Center for the Arts.
