He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Carol Graefen; his children, Charles W. Ryl-Kuchar, Christina Healy (Patrick), Jeff Graefen and Joe Graefen; his grandsons, Austin Healy (Lauren), Nicholas Healy and Aiden Healy; and his brothers, Henry Ryl-Kuchar (Sue), Gus Ryl-Kuchar (Char), Ed Ryl-Kuchar (Rose), Oscar Ryl-Kuchar (Norma) and William Ryl-Kuchar (June).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the New Life Lutheran Church (249 N Bolingbrook Dr, Bolingbrook, IL 60440).
