With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Evelyn Friend of Bourbonnais, Illinois, born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 13, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Roy Nichols and Mabel Nichols (Roberts); her husband John C. Friend; and her siblings, Anita, Eugene, Wayne and Dale.

She is survived by : her daughters, Karen Gilbeaux (John) of Destrehan and Cheryl Nourie (Alan) of Manteno; her grandchildren, Ryan Calhoun, Valerie Gross, Traci Denison and Nicole Baker; and her siblings, Bill, Bob and Alice. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
