She was predeceased by: her parents, George McGuire and Shirley McGuire (Bucklew). She is survived by: her close friends, Nancy Johnson, Leon and Teri Blanchette; her siblings, Ellen Kay McGuire of Asheville, NC, Mary Jeanie McGuire of Asheville, NC and George; and her sister-in-law Myra McGuire.

Memorials may be made to the Shirlee McGuire Scholarship Fund for Olivet Nazarene University English Students.
