He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Benoit and Antoinette Morrissette Benoit; his wife Joan Lambert; his daughter Catherine Daugherity; and his brothers, Louis George Benoit, Leandre Benoit and Edwin Benoit.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Vroman (Gary) of Hartland, WI and Jeremy Benoit (Julie) of Aurora; his son-in-law Glenn Daugherity (Kay Hohn) of Mokena; his grandchildren, Nicholas Daugherity (Heidi), Jason Daugherity (Melinda), Jennifer Olmschenk (Kyle), Sarah Vroman, Brady Benoit and Zachary Benoit; his great grandchildren, Brody Daugherity, Tessa Daugherity and Jack Olmschenk; and his sister Monica Ruder of Herscher. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
