She was predeceased by: her husband Benjamin F. Matlock Sr. Awesome; her siblings, Richard Petroski and MaryJo Petroski; and her parents, Joseph Petroski and Mary Petroski.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Dozier (Michael), Theresa Postema (Donald) and Benjamin Matlock Jr. (Michelle); her grandchildren, Michael II, Benjamin III, Rebecca Jean, Corey and Ryan; and her great grandchildren, Skylar Rose, Nathaniel, Lylah and Baby Benjamin IV.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Smits DeYoung-Vroegh Chapel (649 E 162nd St, South Holland, IL 60473). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hospice of the Calumet Area (600 Superior Munster, IN 46321) or the American Cancer Society (17060 Oak Park Ave. Tinley Park, IL 60477) greatly appreciated.
