It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Bumpus (Carbondale, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on January 10, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald McPaul and Bertha Lusby (LeRoy). She is survived by: her husband George Bumpus; her daughters, Catherine Newell (Wayne), Carla Lasley (Mark) and Karen Schaefer (TC); her grandchildren, Lacy Scarbrough, Lindsay Boldrey, Ashtyn-Hope Thessen, George Colton Lasley, Lyndon Lasley and Christopher Ryan Schaefer of Carolyn, C. J; her great grandchildren, Arya Thessen, Iris Thessen, Baileyan Pannell, Annalyn Pannell and Layla Rose Scarbrough; and her siblings, Bernice Bumgarner, Bill Warren, James Lusby and Samuel Lusby. She is also survived by friends and family.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Carol's name to Walker Hill Cemetery and will be accepted at the service.
