He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Laura Rogerson Darling and Robert Robertson Darling; his children, Ann Elizabeth Darling of Herrin, John Brooks Darling (Maurena) of Centerville, Maryland, James Robert Darling (Sophie) of Falls Church, Virginia and William Thomas Darling (Jill) of Worthington, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Lindsay Casolari (Mark), Brooks Robinson, Brianna Garmane (Trevor), Arianna Darling, Camille Darling, Sabine Darling, Noelle Darling, Albert Darling, Isabelle Darling, David Darling, Caroline Darling, Justin Darling and Mary Darling; and his siblings, Richard Darling (Carol), Bruce Darling (Ruth) and Lois Jean. He was also cherished by eight great-grandchildren.
