With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Eileen Smith of Carbondale, Illinois, who passed away on August 17, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Thomas Cleveland and Esther Starling Monroe; her husband Floyd; her siblings, Thomas Monroe, Lela Spurlock (Roger) and Jesse Tucker (Ardel); her daughter Donna Jo Butcher (Lou) of Carbondale, IL; her grandchildren, Jacee, Jennifer and George; her son Jeff Smith (Candy) of Carbondale, IL; her grandchildren, Clayton, Benji and Samantha; her daughter Althea Rhodes (Bill) of Anna, IL; and her grandchildren, Elise and Eroica. She was also cherished by seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
