We are sad to announce that on April 23, 2020, at the age of 79, James Hurley Myers (Carbondale, Illinois), born in Memphis, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Nell Hurley and William Pinkney Myers; and his brother Dr. Stanley Myers. He is survived by : his wife Brenda; his children, Patrick Myers of Creve Coeur and Dana Oberg (Erik) of Carbondale; his sister Nancy McBride; and his grandchildren, Grace, James, Julia Oberg, Claire and Alex Myers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Carbondale or Southern Illinois Symphony.
