She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kernahan and Marie Kernahan. She is survived by: her daughter Susan Livingston of Carbondale; her grandchildren, Beatriz, Candy, Annaleigh, Jasper Stanwood, Opal, Camille, Ruby and Juniper Livingston; and her sister Angela Kernahan.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Meredith Funeral Home (300 S University Ave, Carbondale, IL 62901). A memorial service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cobden Cemetery N Appleknocker.

Memorials may be made to the family to help cover funeral expenses, and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
