With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernonda Faye Rogers (Carmi, Illinois), born in Golden Gate, Illinois, who passed away on August 21, 2023 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vernonda Faye Rogers to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Alvin Chalcraft and Lola Chalcraft (Graham); and her husband Daniel Eugene Rogers. She is survived by : her children, Mark Rogers (LeAnn) of Carmi, IL and Pam Adams (Tony) of Lebanon, TN; her grandchildren, Kyle Rogers, Kasey Rogers, Kate Joiner and Leslie Webber; and her siblings, Valetta Hill, Vera Ellis, Mary Isle, Bonnie Alldredge, Ray Chalcraft, Dean Chalcraft, Joan Carter and Lloyd Chalcraft. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to either First Christian Church of Carmi or the Carmi VFW and will be accepted at Cook Funeral in Carmi.
