She was loved and cherished by many people including : her children, Donica Johnson, Roosevelt Johnson Jr. and Eric Wilson; her mother Christine Nero; her grandchildren, Donica Wilson-Simons and Erica Jones (Wayne); her great grandchildren, Mason Carroll and Damyni Jones (Logan Jones); and her siblings, Regina Nero, Mary of Maryland, Michael Nero, William Nero and Symiel Nero III.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Russo's Hillside Chapels (4500 Roosevelt Rd, Hillside, IL 60162). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
