He was predeceased by : his wife Lela B. Emery; his son Joseph Emery; his father C. Delmar Emery (Clark); and his brother David Emery. He is survived by : his children, Adele E. Emery (Tommy Tellor) of Oldsmar, FL and John D. Emery (Trish) of Herrin, IL; his grandsons, John Emery Jr. (Ashley) and James Emery (Samantha); his great grandchildren, Meredith Jenae Emery and Dani Jo Emery; his sister Janice E. Gabbard (James Slack) of Adams, TN; his stepgrandsons, Jason Haley, Josh Haley and Jarrett Haley; and also Jim Haley Jr. (Denise) of Colp, IL. He is also survived by six step great-grandchildren, and one step great-great grandchild.
