We are sad to announce that on October 18, 2020, at the age of 72, Larry Dean Wakefield of Caseyville, Illinois, born in Belleville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles and Merle; his stepson Daniel Hunter; his granddaughter Cristy (Justin Campbell); and his brothers, Michael and Richard Wakefield.

He is survived by : his girlfriend Gloria Hunter of Caseyville, IL; his children, Angela Schaefer (Jeffrey) of Ballwin, MO, Rebecca Lynch of Wentzville, MO, Jason Wakefield (Ganey) of Prairieville, LA, Eric Wakefield (Kara) of St. Clair, MO and Brent Wakefield (Katie); his stepchildren, Lenora "Len" Brueggemann of Caseyville, IL and Charles Hunter of Collinsville, IL; his grandchildren, Courtney Surmaj (Angelo), Jeffrey Jr., Joseph, Jackson, Jacob, Jason Jr., Josiah, Joshua, Emily, Shelby, Katelyn, Ty, Brent Jr., Ayla, Zoey, Nicole, Robert, Jessica, Larry, Thomas, Katie, Charles, Jr. and Abbey; his great grandchildren, Izak, Billy, Nolan, Justin Jr., Robert, Madelynn, Christian, Mya-Lynn, Jerimiah, Julian, Jaxson, Jordan, Lillie, Brealynn, Isiah, Neveah, Nila, Josh, Thomas and Emmett; his siblings, Danny Wakefield of St. Clair, MO and Sandra "Sandy" Wakefield of Mascoutah, Illinois; and his stepdaughter-in-law Kim Hunter of Collinsville, Illinois. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
