It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stanley Kent Pennell of Cave in Rock, Illinois, who passed away on March 8, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Lindsay Dawn Pennell; his parents, Thurmon "Jarg" Pennell and Veldene Pennell; his brothers, Larry Dean and Terry Michael Pennell; and his brother-in-law John Douglas.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Pennell of Cave-In; his mother-in-law Emma Griffith of Rosiclare, IL; his siblings, Bob Jerrels of Marion, IL, Joe Jerrels (Sandi) of Elizabethtown, IL, Bill Jerrels (Elaine) of Elizabethtown, IL and Ramona Douglas of Westerville, OH; his siblings-in-law, Mary Miles (Mike) of Herod, IL, Dennis Griffith (Pam) of Cave-In, Danny Griffith (Desirrae) of Cave, Sarah Little (Roger) of Elizabethtown, IL and Harold Griffith of Herod, IL; and his siblings' children, Robert Pennell (Jennifer) of Marion, IL, Lisa Pennell Rice of Bladenboro, NC, Jennifer Andrews of Lumberton, NC and Austin Walters of Lumberton, NC. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and many, many friends.
