He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward B. Vaughan and Lilian Leigh Vaughan; his wife Beth Stafford; his children, Helen L. Mardis and Edward B. Vaughan III; his brother Leigh Vaughan; his brother-in-law Wesley Stafford; and his grandchildren, Andrew Mardis and Anna Leigh Vaughan. He was also cherished by two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
