She is survived by: her husband Donald Brown; her children, Douglas Brown, Charlotte Brown and David Brown; and her grandchild Aliceson Cash.

In lieu of flowers and cards, a donation in Garnetta's name made to the National Kidney Foundation, the American Diabetes Association or the Daily Bread Soup Kitchen in Champaign would be appreciated.
