Glendale Burge Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2022, at the age of 93, Glendale Burge of Champaign, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Burge and Emma Burge (Hahm); his siblings, Gerhard, Gerald, Evelyn and Gene Burge; his son Stephen Burge; and his granddaughter Jennifer Bates (Odie).

He is survived by: his wife Cathy Burge (Cooper); his children, David Burge (Nancy), Matthew Burge and Marsha Bates; his foster daughter Stevie Dupriest; his grandchildren, Anna Bates, Michael Burge (Marie), Scott Burge (Alicia), Eric Burge (Kellie) and Christy Crouch (Cameron); his great grandchildren, Ashley Burge, Evan Burge, Logan Burge, Isaac Burge, Emma Burge, Jared Crouch, Morgan Burge, Olivia Crouch and Maxwell Burge; and his brother-in-law Robert Cooper (Ann). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made in his name to St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Urbana, IL.
