She was predeceased by: her husband Jim Cross; and her brother Larry Sawyer. She is survived by: her husband James Cross; her siblings, Allen Sawyer of Wolf Creek, MT and Kathy Burnham of Elizabeth, AR; and her grandchildren, Olivia, Ryan Hildreth, Izzy, Sophie and Max Cross.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the YMCA of Champaign or the Carle Center for Philanthropy—two places that were very important to Linda, one being obviously more fun than the other.
