She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira F. Sr and Virgie Gudgel Sr. (Brownfield); and her brother Don Gudgel (Margaret) of Champaign. She is survived by: her spouse Charles L. Stanton; her daughters, Sherry Stanton of Champaign and Sarah Newkirk (John) of New Market, TN.; and her grandchildren, Cale Hopper (Lauren) of Homer, Jill Hopper of Champaign, Jennifer Clevenger (Danny) of Newport, TN and Lynn Minton (Jeremy). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial donations may be made in Margie's name to the Alzheimer's Association or the Champaign County Humane Society.
