We are sad to announce that on May 4, 2018, at the age of 71, Stephen Schmidt (Champaign, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Virginia Betka Schmidt and Albert Schmidt; his wife Trisha Crowley; his sister Nancy Scherer; his brother-in-law Jim Scherer; and his children, Jaime, Stephen and Alix. He was also cherished by husband who widened Trisha's interests in the world, and a father.

Memorial donations can be made to the Civil War Trust, 1140 Professional Court, Hagerstown, Md, 21740.
