He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Bennett and Mildred Bennett (Shrock); his son Ricky Bennett; his brothers, John and Steven Bennett; and his parents-in-law, Delbert and Lola Saam.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Saam of Chana; his daughters, Susan "Sue" Calveard (James) of Venus, TX, Patricia "Patty" Crane (Jason) of Palatine, IL and Sandra "Sandy" Wild (Ryan) of Westfield, IN; his grandchildren, Olivia, Anton Crane, Grace and Bailey Wild; his siblings, Lyle Bennett (Corinne) of Caledonia, IL, Jean Johnson (Henry) of Mascoutah, IL and Cindy Bennett of Elmwood Park, IL; and his sister-in-law Sara Bennett of Rockford, IL..
Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private graveside service will be held at the Byron Cemetery with the Rev. Cary Winn pastor of the Elim Reformed Church at Kings officiating.
