In the vast expanse of eternity, may Evelyn Sue find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilburn Horace and Nelle Jane Johnson (Stubblefield); her daughter Pamela Kay Staggs; her grandson James Dean Johns; and her sister Betty Warner.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Dean Johns Sr. (Dana) of Charleston, IL, Linda Sue Carnahan of Oakland, IL and James Russel Johns (Patty) of Ashmore, IL; and her siblings, Denny Johnson (Patricia) of Hindsboro, IL and Joan DeDominick of Dallas, Oregon.. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Edwards Funeral Home (221 E Main St, Arcola, IL 61910). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
