He was predeceased by: his parent Jessie R. Woodyard; his stepdaughter Janie Campbell; and his siblings, Olive Cole, Inez Manning, Pauline Wright, Mary Hackett, John Woodyard and Earl Woodyard.
He is survived by: his parent Flora Woodyard (Coartney); his sister Gladys Lafferty of Charleston; his stepdaughter Katsy Stewart of South Carolina; and his grandchildren, Vicki Wade (Chuck) of Lerna, Ken Campbell (Carolyn) of Missouri, Dan Campbell (Wendy) of Rockford, Mary Jane Ghrist (Bill) of South Carolina, Kathy Ann Stewart (Randy Maxey) of North Carolina and Barbie Zinkovich (Joseph) of North Carolina. He is also survived by great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
It is requested that donations in his honor be made to Lincolnland Hospice or to Charleston VFW Paul McVey Post 1592.
