She was predeceased by: her husband Vernon Fischer; her daughter Cherie Lynne Fischer-Hon; her spouse Thomas Stewart; her parents, Sylvia Mitchell and Walter Mitchell; and her sisters, Roberta Beverly Thomas and Audrey Jones (late George).
She is survived by: her sons, Warren Fischer (Julie) and Christopher Fischer (Deborah); her grandchildren, Nicholas Hon (Ashley), Sarah Hon, Ryan, Molly Fischer, Alexandra Calderisi (Joseph), Ashleigh, Aidan, Ava and Arianna Fischer; her great grandchildren, Briley Roper and Jonas Hon; her stepchildren, Susan Olmos (Ed), Donald Stewart (Dawn) and Pamella Willett (Jim); her grandchildren, Arielle Ortiz (Juan), Andrew (Amanda), Annalee Willett, Bethann Kolesar (Aaron), Jon Szabo (Ali), Bill Szabo (Kristy), Nick Stewart (Sarah) and Emily Stewart; her great grandchildren, Mila, Laila, Madison Willett, Hayden, Ben Kolesar, Evan, Vaida Szabo, Taylor Wheeler-Szabo, Nora, Kyla, Gaia and Teddy Stewart; and her brother David Scott Mitchell (Adele).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel (11300 W 97th Ln, St John, IN 46373). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (10701 Olcott Ave, St John, IN 46373).
