He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Lois; his children, Amy Thimmig (Paul), Jan Sholem (David), David (Julie), Jill Mecklenburger and Bonka; his grandchildren, Adam, Andy (Julie), Lindsay, Jessie Ambrose (Jordan), Jamie Sholem (Mariel), Katie Arnoldy (Scott), Caroline Weinberg (Ben), Corvin, Alec, Toni and Tessa Mecklenburger; and his great grandchildren, Eliza, Arthur, Everett, Poppy, Annabel, Libby, Jack, Jackson, Juliette, James and Margot.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Jewish United Fund, juf.org or ASPCA, aspca.org.
