He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Jackson and Susan Pearl Brooks; and his siblings, Jettie Poteat and Harry Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Maureen Brooks; his children, Jonathan Brooks and Julie West (Janet); his grandchildren, Kirsten Brooks, Katarina Granado (Edward) and Kara Brooks; and his great grandchild Cade. He is also survived by many loving extended family and friends.
