He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Aloysius Michalec and Anna Michalec (Nowak). He is survived by: his wife Bonita "Bonnie" Michalec (Rydberg); his daughter Rhonda; his grandchildren, Connor of Philip, Mary Claire and Andrew Aloysius; his sister Andrea DeSanty; and his nephews, Jeff (Brenda) and Keith (Lisa). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A rosary was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM at the Drake & Son Funeral Home (5303 N Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60625). Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Matthias Catholic Church (2310 W Ainslie St, Chicago, IL 60625).
