She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Gniot and Marie Gniot; and her siblings, Edwin "Bob" Gniot (late Mary Ann) and Thomas Gniot. She is survived by: her children, William Smutny Jr. Miklos (Katalin), Diane Smutny, Michelle Blanco and Susan Helmink (Karl); and her grandsons, Michael Smutny (Cassie) and John Smutny.
