She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Bates and Gertrude Bates; her husband Richard Baranski, Jr.; and her son Timothy. She is survived by: her son Matthew; her siblings-in-law, Susan Kehoe (Rich), Stacie Rachelski (Marek) and Sandy Janis (Paul); her sibling's children, Emily, Nicholas, Stephanie, Jonathan and Jeffrey; and her cousin Jim Swieca.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Muzyka & Son Funeral Home (5776 W Lawrence Ave, Chicago, IL 60630). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Robert Bellarmine Church (4646 N Austin Ave, Chicago, IL 60630).
