He was predeceased by: his parents, Gregorio Ortiz and Maria Ortiz. He is survived by: his wife Juana Ortiz; his children, Juan L. Ortiz (Sonia), Leonor Rivera (Osiel), Benjamin Ortiz, Jr., Maria L. Ortiz, Nydia Carrillo (Gerardo) and Marcos Ortiz (Noemi); and his grandchildren, Eliana, Emma, Leyla, Gael, Emily, Orlando, Jackie, Mateo and Abel. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, neighbors.
