He was predeceased by: his parents, George Pruitt and Azurine Pruitt (Williams); and his siblings, Janice Dangerfield, Maxine Hurst, Helen Long, Joyce Kimble, George Pruitt, Jr. and Darnell Pruitt.
He is survived by: his wife Ida Cross Pruitt; his daughter Linda Pruitt; his stepdaughter Caryn Cross Hawk (Shawn); his grandson Shawn Cross Hawk; and his sisters, Dorothy Loretta Smith and Almatha Hollingsworth. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
