With solemn reverence, we commemorate Carmen Rivera (Chicago, Illinois), whose life came to an end on August 28, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She is survived by: her sons, Luis and Edwin; her daughters-in-law, Eva and Sylvia; her grandsons, Luis, Edwin, Anthony, Carlos and EdRaúl; her granddaughter-in-law Sandy; and her great grandchildren, Marcus, Edrian, Yanelis, Natalie and Aliana.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Malec & Sons Funeral Home (6000 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646). A prayer was held on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:15 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Parish (4432 N Troy St, Chicago, IL 60625).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the family in support of Carmen's final arrangements.
