We bid farewell to Christine Janik of Chicago, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 30, 2025 at the age of 97. Christine touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Christine had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Christine may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband Chester Janik; and her siblings, Irene Wojcik (late Eugene) and Lucian Bender (late Christine). She is survived by: her sister Ann Barnas (Stanley). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home (7812 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714). A prayer will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Brebeuf Church (8307 N Harlem Ave, Niles, IL 60714).
