He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Kaplan and Belle Kaplan; and his brother Gary Kaplan. He is survived by: his wife Hannah; his children, Marcy Kaplan Gold (Eric Gold) and Heidi Rubin (Barry Roth); his grandchildren, Brandon Rubin (Jennifer), Cameron Rubin (Claire), Maya Rubin, Hadley and Gabrielle Gold; and his nieces, Rebecca Guthman (Eric) and Bianca Kaplan.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Shalom Chapel Service Shalom Memorial Funeral Home (1700 W Rand Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004).
