The passing of Debra Lynn Appel of Chicago, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on May 5, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Herbert Levine; her husband Daniel Appel; and her pets, D. D. and Rocky. She is survived by: her mother Esther Levine; her sisters, Paula Spitz (Phil) and Lori Schwartz (Yehuda); her nieces and nephews, Arie (Emily Beal), Jonathan (Amie), Ellie Spitz, Alon (Chloe Schulberg) and Oren Schwartz; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Ethan, Owen, Lilah, Henry and Bella.

A funeral service was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Shalom Chapel Service Shalom Memorial Funeral Home (1700 W Rand Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004). A shiva was held on Sunday, May 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Home of Paula and Phil Spitz (1146 Dayton Ct, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089).
