She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas A. Herling and Maureen Herling; and her siblings, Rosanne Laurino (late William) and Anthony Herling (Sharon). She is survived by: her husband Darryl Lee Corter; her children, Colleen, Scarlett and Pierce; and her siblings, Sean Herling (Kathleen), Daniel Herling (Ronald Crook), Peggy Janes (late Steven) and Thomas P. Herling (late Nancy).
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Malec & Sons Funeral Home (6000 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646). A celebration of life was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Windy City Community Church (6121 N Newark Ave, Chicago, IL 60631).
