Eleanor Chatman Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eleanor Chatman of Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on March 17, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her children, Lynn C. Todman, Eleanor "Cee Cee" Chatman (Cee) and Eric Chatman; and her siblings, Cleophus Strutchions and Sylvia Weir. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

An early and longtime supporter and past board member of the DuSable Black History and Educational Center, in lieu of flowers, her children ask that donations be made in Mrs. Eleanor Chatman's name to the DuSable Museum (https://www.dusablemuseum.org).
