Florence McMillan Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence McMillan (Chicago, Illinois), born in Casselton, North Dakota, who passed away on August 3, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Stewart Dalrymple and Mary Knoblauch Dalrymple Morrison; and her former husband William Griffith McMillan. She is survived by: her siblings, Susan Wilson (Steve) of Long Lake, MN, Judy Wood (Michael) of Wayzata, MN and Jack Dalrymple (Betsy) of Bismarck, ND; her children, William McMillan (Mary) of Long Lake, MN, Marcia McDonough (Tim) of Belvedere, CA, Sally Draper (John) of Chicago, IL and Phoebe McMillan (Nicholas Cortesi) of Chicago, IL; and her grandchildren, Matthew, Margaret McMillan, Malcolm and Henry McDonough.

“I have just learned about Flori's passing. She was a special friend with whom I enjoyed playing both bridge & golf at Horseshoe Bay in Door Co.WIsconsin. Her parties were lengendary and invitations coveted. She lighted up any room she entered! The world is now a darker place without her.”
