With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George D. Kladis (Chicago, Illinois), born in Athens, Illinois, who passed away on November 17, 2020 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Demetrios Kladis and Anastasia Vivaldis; and his uncle Andy. He is survived by : his wife Mary Kladis; his children, Barbara Quinlan (John), James Kladis, Kristie Campbell (Joseph), Thomas Kladis (Jessica), Giovanni, Dominic, Keira, Stefani Kladis, Alexis (Jeff), Brenton, Robert, Heaven, Anastasia, Nia, Will (Fenwa) and Margaret McDonald; his siblings, Roula Kouris (Apostolos), Donna Parmaxi (Anastasios), Anastasios Kladis (Kyriaki) and Angelo Kladis (Maria); and his aunt Rose Alionos. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 25th 2020 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Barnabas Church (10134 S Longwood Dr, Chicago, IL 60643). A funeral mass was held on Wednesday, November 25th 2020 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 25th 2020 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery (3401 W 87th St, Evergreen Park, IL 60805). The Funeral Mass will proceed directly after at 10:00 a. m. Attendees must register for Mass using the link https: //http://www.signupgenius.com (Face Masks and Social distancing required).
Raised as Greek Orthodox, he continued practicing in his faith at St. Barnabas, keeping Jesus Christ as the center and foundation.
