Gunars R. Inka Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gunars R. Inka in Chicago, Illinois, born in Barrington, Illinois, who passed away on September 14, 2025, at the age of 41, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Amy Inka; his sons, Lukas and Davis; his parents, Aivars and Ligita; his sisters, Erika Inka and Larisa Skillman (Jonathan); his siblings' children, Colin, Arija, Jackson, Mia, Max, Emmie, Beckett and Daxton; his godchild Mija; and his pets, Mackey and Amelia.

A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel (65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Parkview Christian Church (2121 S Schoolhouse Rd, New Lenox, IL 60451).

Even in the face of tragedy, we find hope in the many gifts Gunars was able to give through organ donation.
