He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Popolow and Janice Popolow; and his father-in-law Alfred Hurwitz. He is survived by: his wife Jill Hurwitz; his child Allison Popolow; his cousins, Helene Bizar and Alyce Rubinfeld (Jim Fox); his mother-in-law Ruth Hurwitz; his brother-in-law Larry Hurwitz (Elle Lipkind); and his nieces, Molly Hurwitz and Annie Hurwitz Saskin.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Anshe Emet Synagogue (3751 N Broadway, Chicago, IL 60613). A shiva will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hurwitz Popolow Residence (446 W Oakdale Ave, Chicago, IL 60657).
