It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hattie Bell (McRae) Blue (Chicago, Illinois), born in Raeford, North Carolina, who passed away on January 16, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander, Sr. and Maggie Bell McRae (Thomas); her spouse James Bookert Blue; and her siblings, Sandy McRae, John D. McRae, Thomas McRae, Sterling Covington, Robert Lewis Singertery, Doreen McLaurin, Daisy Dean Hough, Christina McRae and Lillie Frances McRae.
She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Blue of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren; one brother, Alexander (his wife, Mary) McRae of East Orange, NJ; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
