He was predeceased by: his parents, Berclyn Erenberg (late Jack) and Emanuel Shapiro (late Margaret); his sisters, Marilyn Rogers (late Edward) and Rosalyn Rudenberg (late Seymour); and his siblings-in-law, Martin Shapiro (late Mildred) and Beverly Pollack (late Roy).

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine; his children, Elena Wayne (Gary) and Keith Shapiro (Marci); his grandchildren, Jason Wayne, Jacob (Jenna), Michael (Carah) and Jordan Shapiro; his great grandchild Emma Shapiro; his brother Joseph Feinberg (Dorothy); and his sibling-in-law Shyrlene Weiner (late Sidney).
