It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jan Mierwa (Chicago, Illinois), who passed away on September 13, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his children, Beata Feliciano (Jose) and Grace Mierwa (Michael Serrano); his grandchildren, Julian, Jayden, Gabriel, Nathaniel and Carter; his parents, Anna Mierwa and Władysław Mierwa; and his siblings, Maria Szczech (late Edward), Francziska Hyc (late Jan), Krystyna Mateja (Jan) and Bronisława Krupa (Jozef). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 21st 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pietryka Funeral Home (5734 W Diversey Ave, Chicago, IL 60639). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 22nd 2023 at 11:00 AM at the St. Ladislaus Parish (5345 W Roscoe St, Chicago, IL 60641).
