He was predeceased by: his former wife Dr. Therese Elizabeth Finn; and his parents, Edward Marszalek and Virginia Marszalek. He is survived by: his brother James Marszalek (Mary); his nieces, Marissa Grossi (Steven), Nicole Obermeyer (Thomas) and Jacqueline Marszalek; and his spouse Terry.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Barnabas Church (10134 S Longwood Dr, Chicago, IL 60643). A Mass was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
